Viyellatex Group, a leading apparel manufacturer and exporter, kicked off its new project titled 'Gateway', which is meant for the implementation of the SAP ERP solution.

In an exclusive interview with Fibre2fashion, Mr K M Rezaul Hasanat, Chairman and CEO of Viyellatex Group stated, “This project which is likely to get implemented successfully in the next six months is expected to help the company achieve innumerable benefits in terms of increased efficiency and productivity and significant reduction of wastage, which would also usher the gateway towards attaining the short, mid and long term goals.”

The group based in Gazipur has imported this ERP Software from Germany's SAP which will help the company get information about real time of entry of business and production data in the factories.

Already, six software experts from India and Sri Lanka have arrived in Bangladesh to install the software allowing Viyellatex Group to achieve its export target of $125 million in 2007-08 fiscal year.

The company is involved in the manufacturing of various textile products starting from yarn to garments and has an array of divisions including spinning, fabrics and knit finishing, dyeing, textile testing, knit and woven cutting, knit sewing, washing plant, designing and various others.

Installation of ERP solutions will help Viyellatex Group link all these diverse divisions and obtain real time data.
