ecVision rightsizes demand-supply chain of retailers

ecVision, an award-winning provider of product lifecycle and supply chain software solutions, is addressing the need for private label and specialty retailers to quickly "right size" their expansive sourcing and supply chain operations.

The key functionality provides retailers with product management capabilities through master data tables.

This allows complete end-to-end visibility throughout the lifecycle process from capacity and raw material reservations, global sourcing and costing negotiations, order management, production tracking and logistics. The framework supporting this functionality includes strong collaboration, reporting and visibility tools to provide management with the ability to make proactive decisions about the product lifecycle and supply chain operation.

"This delivery method is a beneficial way to swiftly and easily implement a software solution with minimal investment in hardware or labor," said Thomas Ng, CEO of ecVision. Industry statistics show that SaaS implementations in the supply chain arena are a decisive option because they achieve ROI quickly through rapid adoption while minimizing IT expenses and overhead.

Recent analyst research from both AMR Research and Aberdeen Group states that this approach to licensing is more economical and can garner "quick wins" that are critical to justifying expenses. Furthermore, as the network of suppliers shifts or expands, bringing these groups online will be easier through a hosted service.
