FDDI programmes entice more students

Even during the economic downturn, FDDI's job-oriented programmes have hardly lost steam. The Institute has witnessed an unprecedented rush for admissions to the various programmes for this academic session 2008-09 beating the figures of last year. Although the selection will be done on merit, nobody wants to leave the race.

FDDI today is a globally recognized brand for the fashion design, technology & management education. The institute's meticulously poised academic programmes at both Post Graduate and Under Graduate levels are focused on creativity, innovation, leadership, teamwork and the global business climate, which is reflected in its record of 100% placement in national as well as international positions.

The institute conducts wide range of long term and short term programmes in the area of Retail Management, Fashion, Footwear Design, Technology, Management, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Creative Designing & CAD/CAM, Leather Goods & Accessories Design etc.

The students are eager to pursue their career from FDDI mainly because of the credibility, its unique teaching methods & placement options.

For admission to the various programmes of FDDI, the Common Entrance Test will be conducted on 12th, 13th &14th June 2009 at Agra, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Fursatganj (Rae Bareli), Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Mumbai, Noida, Patna, Ranchi.

According to Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, “Common Entrance Test is currently the most effective and commonly resorted mechanism for selecting candidates for admission to professional courses as it provides the benchmark to choose appropriate & efficient candidates for various programmes.”

He further said that “Common Entrance Test is a reliable and most efficient method of selection of candidates & FDDI follows it as this ensures uniformity of admission procedure, merit – based selection of candidates, and transparency in admission process.”

The result of for the Common Entrance Test will be declared within ten days of conduct of examination. The result will also be posted at FDDI's website www.fddiindia.com.

Admission to the various programmes of FDDI is granted strictly on the basis of the selection process of FDDI which includes conducting Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) & Creative Ability Test after clearing the Common Entrance Test.

Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI stated, “All professional courses are open for the right students through an entrance examination test which assesses the knowledge of the candidates in a particular field besides testing their problem solving and time managing abilities as well as their competitive skills and qualities.”
