Morse-Datamann announce webinar demos for InOrder Software

Morse Data Corporation, a provider of enterprise management systems for multi-channel merchants and Datamann Inc, a provider of integrated data management solutions for multi-channel marketers, and an authorized reseller of Morse Data's InOrder enterprise management software, announced the availability of webinar-based demos of the InOrder software. The dates and times of these webinars will be available on both the Morse Data and Datamann websites along with instruction regarding registration.

The demos have been scheduled in response to the announcement in Multichannel Merchant Magazine by Melissa Dowling on 6-2-09 in which computer manufacturer/marketer Systemax announced yesterday it's getting out of the ProfitCenter Software (PCS) hosted software business. In addition, Curt Barry, president of multichannel operations and fulfillment consultancy F. Curtis Barry & Co, states on their website that “an orderly decision and transition realistically needs to happen in the next six to eight months for companies, based on a recent discussion with PCS president John Marrah.”

“Our two companies realized that there are users of the PCS software solution that have just had their worlds turned upside down” said Datamann Co-Owner and Chief Operating Officer William Mann. “Both Datamann and Morse Data have been providing our customers with exceptional service for over 30 years and it's hard to imagine what this must be like to the PCS users”, said Mann.

Conversations between Mann and Morse Data's sales representative Don Bizzaro regarding the sudden pull out of Systemax immediately highlighted the turmoil those users must be going through now as they are forced to select a new software package in a matter of weeks rather than the many months that the process often takes.

“Don offered the opportunity for these companies, as well as any others that may be interested, to evaluate the benefits of the InOrder software in a collective format that allows the companies to determine if InOrder might meet their requirements without any sales pressure” Mann said. “If they feel it would meet their needs and want to look deeper great, if not then at least they will have gotten some knowledge to help in the selection process.” according to Bizzaro.

Both Morse Data and Datamann suggest utilizing the short time available to its fullest in selecting a new software vendor including, if need be, the utilization of proven industry consulting services, such as those provided by Curt Barry, Ernie Schell and the like. It is still important to do the necessary due diligence and check references before making a commitment.

As such, they would recommend attending the Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition in Boston MA. June 15th-18th. Many of the software providers will be attending as exhibitors. Both Morse Data and Datamann will be in the exhibit hall at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, and would look forward discussing your needs or providing you with a personal demo.
