Skye Associates makes its mark with the fashion industry

Skye Associates has become a leading full-service e-commerce solutions company, with a focus in the fashion industry. Many other companies concentrate solely on web design, but Skye Associates takes their online partners to the next level. Wholesalers and retailers are signing on to enter into the growing digital space, as well as creating an additional revenue source during these difficult economic times.

Taking care of all of the technical aspects of bringing a company online is only the beginning of what Skye Associates offers its clients. While Skye Associates creates streamlined and user-friendly online stores, they understand that much more is needed to make it successful. Upon completion of site design, Skye Associates provides product photography, in-house custom design artwork for site updates, warehousing and fulfillment, and a well-trained customer service team to take care of any site or product inquiries. Their key initiative is to drive sales to their partner sites, as well as assist in brand representation of their clientele on a wholesale and retail level.

Owner Adam Hanin saw a void and knew that he could fill it. The first site he launched is the well-known nationaljeancompany.com. The launch and word-of-mouth then led to contracts with shoptheshoebox.com, yoga-clothing.com, veronicamclothing.com, shopmodernvintage.com and now 525america.com, all in the last year. Hanin states that, "Every brand must establish their own identity in the wholesale and retail space as consumers continue to move into the digital world. Skye Associates is offering a low cost way, in a full service environment, to bring this realization to reality. Our business thrives on the success of our e-commerce partners."

Gearing up for its 25th anniversary in the year 2010, 525 America founder Bobby Bock was skeptical about launching his own website. Although he played around with the idea for the past few years, he never wanted to upset his wholesale customers, or be thought of as a competitor. "A few years ago it might have been the case," Bock comments, "But today it helps the retailer, and helps get the name around. I think it's a circle. What's good for us is good for the website, wholesale and retail divisions, which is good for both the on and offline customer base.”

Bock continues, "Watching where traffic is derived from online is helping us get a greater understanding of where our product needs to be placed on a retail level. The website is going to bring us to more people and places that we haven't been able to concentrate on before.” Information received from potential wholesale customers, as well as individual retail customers, can now be used as research. Bock uses this to develop new markets for growth.

Skye Associates will be announcing 5 more partners by the close of first quarter 2010. Their team is expanding to accommodate these partner relationships, and working diligently to launch these sites in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Founded in 2006, Skye Associates keeps up-to-date with the ever changing needs that come along with operating an e-commerce platform. Services focus on driving traffic and improving conversion by offering customized web design, proprietary e-commerce technology, marketing strategy, public relations, social media, product photography, warehousing, fulfillment and customer care. Skye Associates' e-commerce revenue is up over 40% over the last 12 months.
