At the expo, Lectra will present Lectra Fashion PLM, the only extended enterprise solution designed for the fashion industry incorporating all steps in the product design and development process, including color specification, textile design, style design, merchandising and pattern engineering.

Modaris can be integrated into any apparel company's development processes and covers all kinds of garments (women's wear, men's wear, children's wear, lingerie, swimwear, uniforms) from the simplest to the most complex shapes.

During this one day event, Simon Poulton, Lectra's Vice President of Sales, Strategic Fashion and PLM, will give a presentation on the necessity and importance of integrating the design and development processes within PLM solutions.

Title: "The Product Lifecycle Starts with Design - So Should its Management."

When: May 5, 2010 at 11am EDT, Ruby Foo's Hotel, Techno Mode Fashion Technology Expo

Seminar Description:
Nearly 60% of a product's life is spent in design and development; it is essential for the fashion companies to have complete visibility through the entire process from design to development and across the supply chain. The answer is PLM. Many brands and retailers have implemented PLM and have been successful in reducing their product development cycle time; however, traditional PLM doesn't incorporate all aspects related to the needs and demands of fashion. The most important part of the process -- the differentiator of the product, the essence of the brand -- is designs. Participants will learn how a comprehensive, fashion-dedicated PLM platform provides the ability to truly manage the entire design and development of a product's lifecycle without compromising creativity.
