Network@Texprocess is the name of the new market place for IT service providers, which Messe Frankfurt is setting up at Texprocess, Leading International Trade Fair for Processing Textile and Flexible Materials, in Frankfurt am Main from 24 to 27 May 2011. Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt: “Fast fashion, globalisation and quality assurance mean expectations on IT-controlled systems in the garment manufacturing industry are very high. With the launch of Network@Texprocess, the sector will have a special platform where not only larger companies but also small to medium-sized firms can show their innovations every two years. “

Network@Texprocess will present IT trends for the garment manufacturing and textile industries, covering the spectrum from merchandise information systems and retail solutions, via supply chain management and product-data systems, to IT solutions for internal and external logistics processes and software for new automation solutions. This market place will be located in Hall 4.0, in the immediate vicinity of exhibitors from the fields of IT, design, CAD/CAM, cutting and quality assurance. Suppliers of communication and information technologies can either hire an information stand at the IT market place itself or make an individual presentation very close by. The IT market place will be rounded off by a meeting lounge where they can hold discussions with customers. Numerous IT companies, including Assyst, AVM Softbase, Deister electronic, Eton Systems, Expert Systemtechnik, Human Solutions, Lectra, Update Texware and Setlog, have already registered for Texprocess.

For Nadine Brehm, Marketing Manager of AVM Softbase, the international orientation of Texprocess is the decisive factor behind their decision to exhibit: “We are active throughout Europe and have therefore need a powerful leading international trade fair held here in Europe.”

Wolfgang Bruder, Managing Director of Expert Systemtechnik, is a proponent of the new biennial cycle of events, which fits in perfectly with the requirements of the IT and software sector: “We are a highly innovative company with rather short cycles of development. Therefore, we are very much in favour of holding the fair every two instead
of three years.”

Dr. Andreas Seidl, General Manager of Human Solutions, adds: “The concept of Texprocess with the IT market place is oriented towards tomorrow's technologies and thus takes due account of the growing significance of the IT sector for the garment manufacturing and textile industries.”

Around 500 companies will present the latest machines, plant, processes and services for the garment and textile processing industry on 50,000 square metres of exhibition space at Texprocess from 24 to 27 May 2011. The conceptual partner of Texprocess is VDMA Garment and Leather Technology. Around 25,000 trade visitors are expected to attend. The leading international trade fair is aimed at an audience from the fields of garment manufacturing, textile processing, technical-textile processing, the trade, handicrafts, services and science and training. Companies that process technical textiles come from the automobile, aerospace, upholstery, mattress, packaging and occupational safety sectors.

A special highlight of the fair will be 'Source-it', a sourcing platform at which contract manufacturers from all over the world will present their expert services to the international garment-manufacturing industry.
