Demo of Lectra's latest innovations at WINDPOWER & SAMPE

The WINDPOWER 2011 Conference & Exhibition, held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, May 22 - 25, is North America's largest wind energy industry event of the year and expects over 20,000 wind energy professionals to attend. Lectra will exhibit at Booth #1077.SAMPE 2011 will be held at Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, California, May 24 - 26, offering a real-world approach to advancements and applications in the field of materials and processes. Lectra will exhibit at Booth #1531.
At both events Lectra will demonstrate its dedicated CAD/CAM solutions for automating wind blade and composites development, as well as, production for industrial fabrics and composite materials. Solutions will include DesignConcept, VectorTechTex and the latest release of Diamino for improved material consumption.
DesignConcept is Lectra's 3D/2D conception and industrialization solution dedicated to advanced materials. Based on Lectra's solid experience in industrial manufacturing solutions, this application provides powerful tools to facilitate the analysis of product feasibility, finished product quality, and cost, thus enabling companies to make key decisions in the product development phase and thereby reduce time to market and minimize costs.
At the heart of Lectra's intelligent cutting room offer, the Vector automated cutter achieves maximum productivity and material savings when connected with Lectra's planning, nesting and spreading solutions. The Vector provides unmatched productivity, flexibility and precision, adapted to all end products, including complex composite materials.
Enhancing Lectra's dedicated solution, the recently announced Diamino V5R4, introduces new enhancements for manufacturers seeking simplicity, speed, and efficiency in marker-making and material consumption optimization activities, during the costing, prototyping, and production phases. Diamino V5R4 optimizes material consumption at the development and production stages by using two different methods depending on the material to be cut and the complexity of the model; and simplifies collaboration between a company's various internal and external contributors by offering direct access to new export interfaces for HP-GL and Cutfile, and the newly integrated DXF format, widely used in the automotive and aerospace industries.
