Swedish fashion firm J.Lindeberg selects Centric PLM suite

J.Lindeberg, a Swedish fashion and sportswear firm that designs functional yet fashion-forward clothing to suit an active lifestyle, has selected Centric Software to provide its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric is the leading product lifecycle management solution for fashion, retail, footwear, luxury, outdoor, and consumer goods companies.
With distribution in 900 stores across 37 countries, J.Lindeberg had grown to the point where a PLM system became necessary to keep track of product information to control product margins.
Centric initially reached out to J.Lindeberg in late 2015, anticipating their potential need for a PLM solution. This kick-started a process of considering a number of local vendors and international competitors and ended when J.Lindeberg selected Centric. J.Lindeberg teams will work with the full Centric PLM suite, including their innovative mobile apps.
Amelie Sernung, business developer and controller for J.Lindeberg said, “As our company is growing, we are moving into the next generation of development, we have realised a need to improve and further develop our intelligence in the assortment planning and cost control processes. The fashion industry is a fast paced environment and in order to drive performance, we identified a need to minimise the non-value adding activities as well as improve information sharing throughout all divisions at J.Lindeberg. By using Centric, we will be able to collect and structure large amounts of information which will enable us to make sound decisions based on actual data and facts.”
J.Lindeberg IT director Marcus Mellberg said, “Centric has a great understanding and extensive experience in the fashion industry on both a global and local level; they understand where we come from and where we are going. Also, we believe that the Centric PLM platform is agile and highly configurable, with great capabilities to streamline information, make the right data more available and visible, helping us to take the right decisions.”
