Retail sector grows at very fast pace, FDDI Center for Retail

In his speech he said that the increasing consumerism and challenges for retailers calls for a debate so that the interest of the small shop owners are not hampered besides stopping the monopoly of giants of this sector & this initiative of FDDI is a move in the right direction.

The contemporary scenario also calls for the elimination of the middlemen in the market from the supply chain management to facilitate the interest of small retailers.

Mr. Maken said that he was happy to learn that FDDI has grown five folds during the last two years and was attaining new heights in leaps and bounds under the able guidance of the Managing Director, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara - a man of vision.

He said that it's a matter of pride that FDDI is the fastest growing institute in the country in terms of Retail, Fashion, Footwear and Leather Goods & that FDDI has ambitious plans for expansion all over the country, in places like Fursatganj, (Rae Bareilly), Kolkata, Haryana & Chennai.

He further said that the efforts of the Secretary of FDDI, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla is also praiseworthy, who is a man of system and is the lifeline of FDDI.
