FDDI students design & creation highly appreciated

The students of final year of PG Diploma in Creative Designing & CAD-CAM (PGDCD 1) & Diploma in Footwear Technology (DFT - 5-Designing specialization) courses displayed their design work / creation in the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida on 13th December 2007.
The work was evaluated by a distinguished jury. Students had developed their design based on a special theme and the work comprised of Theme Board (Mood Board), Sketches based on the theme board, technical drawing and prototypes thereof. In all approximately 180 exclusive designs were on display.
On this occasion, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said, “The objective of the course on designing is to develop designers with the right combination of knowledge, skills and practical orientation, making them a class of their own. The focus is on case-based teaching & making the curriculum more dynamic.”
Mr. Lakhara blessed the students and wished them good luck & also suggested that equal efforts should be taken to market the Creations by the students.
On this occasion, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI, said, “The themes selected by the students were keeping in view of the contemporary requirement of the industry. The colour combination was marvelous.”
The design display by the students was highly appreciated by all. The appreciation received at the end of the exhibition gave a big moral boost to the students to keep up their hard work and commendable performance.
