Shoe designer Sarah Riley's rare poise & vision

The New Zealand shoe designer/artist Sarah Riley is stepping out-in style. She is very thrilled about her first variety of women's shoes, which she designed and skillfully made here New Zealand.
Riley, a fresh art school graduate with a marketing background, says her shoes – like her knack – expose a love of colour, quality, outline and splendor.
”I like to think of this as a new way of taking art to the street in a way that says as much about the wearer as the artist. The women wearing my shoes individualize and close the artwork by choosing what they put on with it and how they present it."

Sarah Riley is set to display her intellect and talents through her designs, which she hopes will be shoes that stay with and are loved by their owners for years together.
“They excel the whims of fashion as would a striking piece of jewellery, or a wonderful fabric. I see them as shoes that go on to prove whether they're being worn or stored in a attractive box and given the esteem of a cherished item.”
”I am ardent about all aspects of the shoe making procedure, from the choice of attractive fabrics and leathers from both here and overseas from Italy, to the manufacture of my shoes in the factory."
"Being in the factory allows me to confirm each shoe and guarantee the utmost class is met, and allows me to benefit from seeing my designs come to life.”
Sarah Riley has lately designed and shaped winter 06 shoes for Cris and Beth from 'Pearl Culture', accessible in their store now and are selling well and will be featured in the June copy of 'She' journal.
Trends for summer 2006 to 2007 are accessible at Mei Mei and other preferred retailers.
