Dynamic state of Qianqing yarn market on October 15, 2006 revealed that prices of typical yarn items of 32s full cotton yarn for knitwear, 50s pure polyester yarn, 30s rayon yarn, T/C 65/35 45s yarn, T/R 65/35 40s yarn were 20300 yuan per ton, 16400 yuan per ton, 17800 yuan per ton, 19000 yuan per ton, and 20500 yuan per ton respectively.
Comparing to the prices of 20600 yuan per ton, 16500 yuan per ton, 17800 yuan per ton, 19100 yuan per ton, and 20500 yuan per ton of the previous week, full cotton yarn fell 300 yuan per ton, pure polyester yarn and T/C yarn fell 100 yuan per ton, while rayon yarn and T/R yarn were relatively firm.
Quotation for some high count yarns extended the drop to 400-500 yuan per ton in accumulation over two weeks, while other yarns suffered a 300 yuan drop on average.
