For the just past week (December 3-9), the two cationic yarn markets in Shengze and Jiaxing continued a downtrend. Current market center prices of FDY50D, 100D, and 150D in the two markets are 16500 yuan, 13800 yuan and 13200 yuan per ton, respectively, down 100-200 yuan per ton from the previous week.
In comparison, FDY63D, 75D sales were fairly good, as they are directly used in production of jacquard lining and be woven with DTY75D to produce fashion garment from jacquard and imitated flax fabrics. Market central price of DTY 150D/36F by the weekend was at 14400 yuan per ton. The market central prices of POY50D/48F?75D/36F of the last weekend were at 13700 yuan per ton and 13500 yuan per ton, down 100-200 yuan per ton from the previous weekend.
The reasons for the downward market of cationic yarn are as follows:
First, the market will be affected by the price decline to cationic polyester chips; current week (December 2-9) settlement was at 12,250 yuan per ton, down 150 yuan from 12400 yuan of the previous week. Price offer for next week is at 12600 yuan per ton, down 350 yuan per ton.
Second, cationic yarn enterprises initially cut prices to promote sales in order to ensure the balance between production and marketing.
Third, downstream enterprises still have profits from making conventional fabrics and linings, while producing cationic fabrics and linings will take some risks.
Therefore, the demand of cationic yarn is hard to enlarge. Under the influence of these factors, cationic yarn market is expected to be adjusted downward further.
