Abstract
The main motive of any business is customer satisfaction and
profit earning. This motive of the business is achieved only by few retailers
successfully. These successful retailers are able to achieve this by certain
merchandising plans and one such merchandising plan that plays a very vital
role is to attract the customer towards the products is VISUAL MERCHANDSING.
The objective of visual merchandising is to create a
fashionable, trend creating customer friendly atmosphere for shopping. That can
increase the market share and profit to a higher level along with loyal
customers. The concepts of visual merchandising helps store keeper to arrange
his shop for a profitable business understanding the purpose of lights, color
selecting methods, different mannequin's uses, space allocating cubic planning
system, help of fixtures, Play back music, and aroma decoration plans too.
Visual Merchandising:
Visual Merchandising is an art of presentation where a shop
keeper (or) a merchant attracts his customer through the visual programs for
his success in the business.
Aim of Visual Merchandising:
Today globally shopping malls are making a higher profit
than that of a common shop even though they sell the normal customer goods
which have been used in day today human life, due to the attraction towards the
malls in the customers. The malls merely create a fashionable, attractive, and
a better atmosphere for shopping than that in a common shop. This fashionable
attractive atmosphere are been created through Visual Merchandising. Thus for
a profitable and a trend creating business Visual Merchandising place a key
role.
