This season the applications saw an increase of 34% which reaffirms Lakmé Fashion Week’s growing popularity among the fresh talent in India.

A whopping total of 460 applications were recorded this season for across categories, including Gen Next. While the Emerging category received 140 applications marking a growth of 15% from the previous season; the Accessory category grew by 50%.

In its second season, the Jabong Stage has emerged as the perfect platform for the young designers to unleash their fresh and exciting collections. While the newly launched platform will showcase cutting edge styles by 20 designers, it will also host fashion workshops, seminars, launches and much more.

Select designer collections will be made available on www.jabong.com enabling fashion enthusiasts from across the country and worldwide to wear creations right off the ramp.

With this selection and the five additional names in the Gen-Next category announced earlier, a total of 44 new and upcoming talent will get a chance to showcase their collections at LFW WF 2014. With these three unique properties, LFW remains the most coveted platform for fashion talent in the country.
