The expo is intended to meet the demand from European customers for finished garments, contract manufacturing and private label development.
On show will be menswear, womenswear, kidswear, sportswear and workwear, fabrics and textiles, as well as trimmings and accessories. The exhibition display will include ten mannequins outfitted with recent sustainable designs.
The Ecochic Design Award, which is the world's largest sustainable fashion design competition, organised by environmental NGO Redress will also take place during the expo. This competition is aimed to inspire emerging fashion designers and students from Asia and Europe to create high fashion pieces with minimal waste, utilising the zero-waste, up-cycling and reconstruction design techniques.
The fourth edition of the expo held in February 2015 was attended by over 1,500 trade professionals.
With an amplified number of visitors registered to attend, it is expected that the expo will continue to inflate its role in providing European buyers with the chance to meet with potential new suppliers and learn of the most up-to-date sourcing and production information from Asia, the organisers said in a press release.
