Mumbai-based kids clothing brand Hopscotch recently raised $25 million from Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin's investment arm EE Capital, Lionrock Capital, Rise Capital, RPG Ventures and IIFL Seed Ventures Fund. Angel investors like Wei Yan, co-founder of Diapers.com, and Techpro Ventures, owned by Aptech founder Atul Nishar, also participated in the investment round.
The company also sells food and personal care branded items owned by third-party firms on its digital platform. Hopscotch plans to move its brand beyond its own platform to other marketplaces and has been approached by many horizontal players, according to a report in a top Indian business daily.
