Vietnam has invited joint venture agreements in garment manufacturing from Sri Lanka, according to Sri Lanka's Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Both Vietnam and Sri Lanka discussed investment opportunities at a meeting between Sri Lanka's Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen and Ton Sinh Thanh, Vietnam's ambassador to the island country.
Ambassador Sinh Thanh said both the countries can jointly produce garments by combining production chains. He particularly pointed out that Sri Lanka can benefit from low labour costs in Vietnam.
