FORTE provides supply chain services to Carter's Inc

FORTE, a leading distribution consulting and systems integration firm, is pleased to announce Carter's, Inc. and Imperial Distributors, Inc. have hired FORTE to provide supply chain consulting services. With headquarters in Atlanta, Carter's is a leading provider of apparel and related products exclusively for babies and young children. The Company owns the Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh brands, two of the most recognized brands in the marketplace.
These brands are sold in leading department stores, national chains, and specialty retailers domestically and internationally and through more than 400 Company-operated stores and on-line at website. The Company's Child of Mine brand is available at Walmart, and its Genuine Kids, Just One You and Precious Firsts brands are available at Target stores.
The current distribution network for Carter's includes two distribution centers in suburban Georgia, one in California, one in Tennessee and multiple consolidation centers across Asia.
Carter's hired FORTE to perform an initial, system-wide strategic assessment. In addition, FORTE will provide recommendations to help Carter's develop a multi-year plan to optimize its distribution network and support its strategic growth plans.
FORTE is the pioneering Design/Build firm in the distribution sector of the supply chain. FORTE provides client-side, network-wide engineering, systems integration and operations optimization services on a consulting-only or single-source turnkey basis for existing distribution facility upgrades or new greenfield operations. FORTE's expertise and services include logistics network optimization, facility sizing and design, material handling systems and supply chain execution software.
