2XU, leader in high performance compression apparel, continues expanding its portfolio of elite athletes. Ten-time National Boxing Champion and London 2012 US Olympic Team boxer, Jose 'The Future' Ramirez, joins 2XU's enviable team of Brand Ambassadors.

The boxing phenomenon and light weight prodigy will train, compete and recover in the brand's Compression gear. Ramirez will enjoy an array of physiological benefits, from improved circulation and heightened agility to reduced muscle fatigue and damage.

Focusing on optimizing athletic performance in the elite category where physical demands and stakes are high, 2XU Compression is driven by equipping athletes, like Ramirez, to be more prepared, competition-ready and capable than their opposition.

Johnny West, U.S. Brand and Sports Marketing Director for 2XU, is thrilled to have the brand's relationship with Ramirez now formalized.

"Jose represents the next power generation of athletes that are educated in the tangible benefits of 2XU Compression," West said. "These athletes are multiplying their human performance because of it. We're excited to work with Jose and look forward to supporting him in his quest for Olympic Gold in 2012."

Rick Mirigian, co-manager and Ramirez branding agent, is equally pleased to have Jose supported by the finest Compression garments on the market.

"Jose has done things that have never been seen in boxing history, shattering records that have stood for decades," touted Mirigian. "The world has fallen in love with the Jose outside the ring. He's an amazing person and life story, an inspiration second to none."

Raised in the small farming city of Avenal in Central California, Ramirez is enrolled at CSU Fresno. Of Mexican American decent, the bilingual student has appeared on numerous local and national platforms.

"Preparation, competition, recovery; there's not an element in my performance strategy that isn't improved by 2XU Compression," said Ramirez. "It's become a necessity for me."

Aidan Clarke, 2XU Sales and Marketing Director, is thrilled with the brand's latest recruit, "As a company driven by an endless pursuit for excellence in performance apparel, our partnership with an athlete of Ramirez's caliber makes perfect sense."

Ramirez will work with the 2XU Compression team on its research and product development in the pursuit of extending garment benefits even further.

With a relentless commitment to engineering world-class products which deliver tangible benefits to the wearer, 2XU sets the benchmark in high performance compression. Ongoing testing, research and consultation with professional sporting bodies and athletes are integral to the brand's winning formula.

2XU (Two Times You) was launched in January 2005, and is driven by a relentless company mission to advance human performance through the development of world-leading athletic garments.

In its first year, 2XU graced the skin of multiple World Champion athletes and has since formed powerful alliances and key partnerships with World Champions across the globe in numerous sports including Triathlon, Cycling, Swimming, Netball, AFL, Soccer, NRL, NFL and Running. 2XU is also the exclusive Official Compression Supplier to the Australian Institute of Sport.
