Clothing and footwear label, Lacoste L!ve, has opened its first flagship outlet in India at Delhi showcasing the firm's Autumn/Winter collection 2011.
Geometric and 3D range, the first theme of the collection, draws its inspiration from 80s ski clubs with a glacier colour range and features a graphic game built around stereoscopic anaglyphs, which are colour filters that show a 3D relief effect when stacked up. The look is influenced by Kazimir Malevich, a geometric abstract artist and initiator of the Suprematist movement.
Outdoor and Ivy League Collection, the second theme, is a blend of vintage and heritage, with an exterior impression of hiking and exploring.
With its blend of colours and bold designs, Lacoste L!ve flaunts a fresh attitude by trying to fuse the classic with the future. The designers have tried to use different textures, fabrics, colours and bold designs to prepare astonishing and cool Lacoste street art and original style collection.
All these unique designs and a Fall/Winter 2011 collection for girls are now being displayed at the label's first concept store in Delhi.
Lacoste L!ve creates its collections in association with musicians and artists from across the world, and proposes to engage a guest artist or designer for each season who would prepare a capsule collection for the label.
The first such collection comprising a T-shirt, two polos and a sweatshirt has been created by the Cult French artist Honet for Spring/Summer 2011.
