American Apparel extends New York warehouse sale

American Apparel Inc., a vertically integrated manufacturer, distributor and retailer of branded fashion basic apparel, is extending the run of its New York City pop-up warehouse sale for 12 more days.
The 24,000 square foot sale will be entirely replenished for the extended run, with thousands of new garments arriving from American Apparel warehouses in Montreal and Los Angeles.
"We've been blown away by the response to the sale, especially all the repeat shopping. Over 40,000 customers came out for the first week and a half of the sale. "
"Shoppers bought more than they could carry, they were hailing cabs and loading them up. It didn't make sense to end it just yet," said Marsha Brady, a creative director for American Apparel.
The sale remains at the original location at 766 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) between West 25th and West 26th Streets, and will continue to feature more than 160,000 garments at up to 90% off until January 11.
In response to requests for new styles like denim, chiffon and 3D floral mesh, American Apparel is rushing these pieces out from across the country to meet the demand.
The standard selection includes a spectrum of the brand's massive selection of T-shirts, leggings, sweatshirts, underwear, small accessories, beauty items such as American Apparel Nail Polish and more. There will be many surprises, unusual product runs and sizes available.
The sale will also be stocked with vintage items, discontinued favorites, overstock, slight damages, circle scarves and a trove of hosiery. Inventory will be replenished all day, every day during the sale and customers are encourage to return to the sale as many times as they want for more selection.
