Best Foot Forward has been asked to join the Ethical Fashion Fellowship, which will unite 500 pioneers in fashion and sustainability. The aim is to bring the industry to a tipping point where sustainable business practices become the norm, ‘from field to final product’. BFF will have the opportunity to engage with the network of fellows and stay at the cutting edge of developments so that it can better inform its clients.
The Ethical Fashion Forum is keen to have BFF on board, because of its expertise in carbon and water footprinting, strategic focus on environmental hotspots and the PAS 2060 carbon neutral standard. Its Product Portfolio Footprinting approach is used to footprint clients with complex supply chains and thousands of products in a clear and informative way. BFF clients in the fashion sector range from High Street retail to luxury brands.
Nicola Jenkin, Senior Consultant at BFF, said:
“We’re really excited about joining the Ethical Fashion Forum, it is the only forum of its kind in the world. The fashion industry has a huge opportunity to embrace sustainability and this forum is full of the leaders who are making change happen. Cheap fashion that has a negative impact on the planet just isn’t stylish anymore, but fortunately there are plenty of fashion brands who want to give us the best of all worlds. We want to help them to do that.”
Georgie Wells, Membership Manager from EFF, said:
“We are thrilled to have Best Foot Forward join the Fellowship. We are looking forward to working closely with them to produce articles on environmental sustainability for the SOURCE Magazine. Their expertise in calculating environmental impacts for fashion brands is a welcome addition to our membership body.”
