MAS Holdings lauded at National Green Awards
Jan '13
MAS Holdings was lauded at the recently concluded National Green Awards for four manufacturing facilities that promoted a ‘cleaner and greener Sri Lanka’. Organized by the Central Environmental Authority of Sri Lanka for the second year running.

MAS Holdings made its mark in both Apparel and Textile Processing categories; the company’s purpose built environmentally friendly facility MAS Intimates Thurulie, and Noyon Lanka, the joint venture with the famed Noyon Dentelles of France bagging both Gold Awards.

MAS Active Asialine won the Silver Award while MAS Active Synergy won the Bronze Award in the Apparel Category for progressively embracing sustainability best practices in waste management, energy efficiency and employee and community engagement activities.

MAS is not new to the National Green Awards; 2011 inaugural awards saw another MAS facility, Bodyline, carrying the Gold. This year’s four awards are a clear demonstration how a focused drive has yielded stellar results.

MAS Holdings has held their mantle as pioneers of change within the industry; differing through superior working conditions and ethical manufacturing practices, taking responsibility as forerunners in a paradigm shift towards sustainability.

The company’s identity surpasses great products and process, deeply rooted in community wellbeing; community endorsement has always been MAS Holdings’ licence to operate. The company’s commitment towards environmentally sustainable practices come from the same notion of building a community centric sustainable business.
