IAF changes venue of World Fashion Convention

February 05, 2013 (China)

The IAF Board of Directors has announced a change of location for the upcoming 29th IAF World Fashion Convention. The convention will now be held in Shanghai, China, on 22 – 25 September 2013 and not in Nanjing as originally planned.

By doing so, the IAF Board brings convenience to those delegates who also want to visit the China International Sewing Machinery and Accessories Show, CISMA, which will be held from 25 – 28 September in Shanghai.

The theme for the IAF convention remains: How to Create Value in the Global Fashion Supply Chain. The convention will especially focus on branding in view of the growing importance of China as a large and very attractive consumer market.

Venue

The award-winning DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Huaqiao-Kunshan is located in the heart of the fast developed Huaqiao business center. It is only a 45 minute drive from downtown Shanghai, 300 meters from the Shanghai Metro Line and only a 35 minute highway direct drive to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

Preliminary Schedule

-22 September: 7th IAF Golf Tournament
-23 September: IAF Board Meeting and General Assembly, Welcome reception
-24 September: 1st Convention day and IAF International Designer Award show
-25 September:  2nd Convention day
