On March 05, 2013, BKMEA President along with BGMEA & BTMA leaders met with honorable finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at his secretariat office.During the meeting, BKMEA President Mr. Salim underscored the urgency for addressing some long overdue issues like allowing cash incentives against advanced TTs (Telegraphic Transfers) and releasing cash incentives on a regular basis for facilitating ongoing growth of the sector.
He also sought the urgent intervention of honorable minister to direct the commercial banks to issue P/C instead of OD. In reply, the minister agreed on the points raised by RMG business leaders and assured that soon he would look into those issues for immediate solutions.
