In my previous career as a banker, I noticed that most professionals, including my fellow bankers, primarily wore ready-to-wear clothing. It became increasingly evident to me that these mass-produced garments could not capture the essence of individuality. Clothing is not just fabric; it is a canvas for self-expression, a way to tell the world who you are.
Unsatisfied with the one-size-fits-all approach, I left banking to specialise in bespoke menswear. Bespoke is not just about measurements; it is about understanding the individual—their personality, lifestyle, and aspirations—and incorporating these elements into the clothing they wear.
I saw a gap in the market. Although many companies claimed to offer bespoke services in India, few genuinely provided that personal touch, especially in cities beyond Delhi and Mumbai. This led many Indian consumers to seek luxury formal wear abroad in cities like London, Milan, and Hong Kong.
This prompted me to question: why should Indians have to travel overseas for quality, custom-made clothing? Why could not India produce the skilled artisans and resources to cater to its own consumer base?
My vision was to bring the craftsmanship and quality of Savile Row—the epitome of bespoke tailoring—to India. I wanted to offer a platform where people could express their individuality without compromising on quality.
