Nike unveils Celtic FC away kit for 2013-14 season

Inspired by the club’s colours and rich history, the new shirt is gold — a vibrant and popular away colour for the club since 1972 — with seven thin green hoops spread evenly on the chest.

The shirt has a green crossover V-neck collar, and green cuffs on the sleeves. Inside the back of the neck is a woven label bearing the quote: “This Celtic Football Club is much more than a football club. To a lot of people it’s a way of life.”

The quote is from Sir Robert Kelly, a pivotal figure in the history of Celtic, who understood the importance of the club to its fans, and served on the club’s board first as a director, then as the Chairman for more than four decades.

The new away shorts are green, while the away socks are gold, and feature the green hoop consisting of seven fully engineered thinner hoops from both the new home and away shirts.

The new kit showcases Nike's committment to aiding the performance of players with key technological benefits.
