Spanish fashion brand Desigual opens flagship store In NY

Desigual is consolidating its position in the American market, taking its place on the catwalk for the latest edition of New York Fashion Week and opening a flagship store on the city’s legendary Fifth Avenue.

At 3pm on Thursday 5 September, Desigual will be presenting as yet unseen designs from its Spring-Summer 2014 collection “For Everybody Sex Fun & Love” and outfits from the sophisticated Línea L. Desigual designed by Monsieur C. Lacroix on the runway at the Theatre Lincoln Center.

To coincide with its New York Fashion Week debut, Desigual, which has more than 1,200 PoS, several shop-in-shops in Bloomingdales and 14 shops of its own in the USA, will be opening a new shop at 530, Fifth Avenue with 45th Street.

Desigual is defined by its different, optimistic, colourful designs. It currently has a workforce of more than 3,800 people of 83 different nationalities. In 2012, the brand sold more than 22 million garments and finished the year with a world total of more than 330 shops of its own, 9,000 multi-brand shops and 2,200 shop-in-shops in department stores in more than 100 countries.
