Cherokee boys, girls, and baby are now available at SEIBU and SOGO locations in Indonesia with additional store rollouts planned for the coming year.
The debut Cherokee collection, designed in California, includes a wide assortment of casual, everyday lifestyle apparel ranging from woven shorts, pants, and denim to sweatshirts, jackets, and dresses.
The launch is being supported by a multi-faceted marketing campaign which includes custom in-store fixtures and imagery, along with newsletters, flyers, posters and social media efforts.
“As we continue to expand Cherokee’s geographic footprint, we are very proud to introduce our premier lifestyle brand to the Indonesian marketplace,” said Henry Stupp, Cherokee’s Chief Executive Officer.
“The launch of our children and baby collections fully harnesses Cherokee’s 360 degree approach, leveraging our in-house design and marketing experts to bring to life exclusive, custom in-store renderings and displays made specifically for SOGO and SEIBU shoppers. We look forward to working closely with the team at MAP as well as both department stores; utilizing their exceptional retail know-how to further develop our product offerings for Indonesian shoppers.”
MAP operates over 1,400 retail outlets throughout 52 Indonesian cities. Apart from retailing, MAP distributes more than 90 international brands ranging from fashion and lifestyle-focused product, to sports, food, and beverage. In 2012, MAP was named among Fortune Indonesia’s top 20 most admired companies.
“Our success as a retailer is based upon a number of factors, including most importantly our partnerships with the world’s leading brands,” said Fannie Gozali, MAP/SOGO Head of Apparel Merchandising Division.
“Our partnership with Cherokee is no exception. Cherokee’s well-priced, style-focused lifestyle offerings fit perfectly with SOGO and SEIBU’s target markets. We anticipate that the Cherokee brand will be readily accepted by our shoppers and look forward to a successful partnership.”
