Myntra redefines online shopping with one hour delivery
Aug '13
To revolutionize the experience of shopping online, Myntra.com, announced that they have successfully tested delivering products within one - two hour in both, Bangalore and Delhi locations. Upon ordering their products, customers from select areas in both cities were in for a pleasant surprise as the items ordered were received within an hour of placing the order.

In cities such as Bangalore and Delhi, it sometimes takes shoppers more than two hours to complete their entire shopping journey which leaves them craving for a smoother shopping experience. With this new pilot feature, Myntra.com has further reduced the gap between online and offline shopping with select areas of Bangalore and Delhi being covered within the first hour, and subsequently in larger areas wherein deliveries will be completed within two hours.

Delighted on receiving his order within one hour, Sabir Chaudhary, a regular Myntra customer said, “I’ve never seen anyone deliver within an hour of order placement. This is really impressive. This will change the entire online shopping experience in India.”

Post the successful test run, Ganesh Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer, Myntra commented, “Our core belief of providing unique experiences to customers has always worked in helping us build loyalty and recall. The one-hour delivery pilot is one such innovation that will, in the future, change the way people perceive online shopping.”

He added, “This operation became a reality, thanks to our real-time, state-of-the-art warehouse management system and streamlined processes which has evolved over the years and helped us in building a solid framework for effective logistics and deliveries.”

To live each moment of this exciting journey, a video was prepared that starts from the time an order is placed by a customer, continues with the product being picked and dispatched through a delivery boy who maneuvers through Bangalore’s bustling streets and finally ends right at the doorstep of a pleasantly surprised customers. The video tries to encapsulate the entire process of online shopping and ends with customer reactions on receiving their product within an hour of order placement.
