Maryland Pride 2.0 features custom uniforms and hand-painted helmets.  The uniforms feature the four quadrants of the Maryland flag in motion giving these uniforms a faster look. 

The new uniform and helmet design were inspired by characteristics specific to the iconic Maryland state flag. Included were aspects of the black, red and gold state colors and distinct, segmented design patterns found on the Maryland flag as it waves.

This will also mark the first-time a college football team will feature hand-painted helmets. They are one-of-a-kind and individually artist numbered 1 through 200.

“The uniform and hand-painted helmets are visual representation of the love for our state and the heritage of the Terps football program,” said Matt Mirchin, Under Armour. senior vice president of global sports marketing.

"We started working with Under Armour in our Labor Day game against Miami and they continue to come up with innovative concepts for our program," said Maryland Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson. "We are off to a great start and appreciate all of the support in Baltimore."

A special guest also participated in the unveiling as former Terp standout and reigning Super Bowl champion Torrey Smith of the Baltimore Ravens shared and displayed his ‘Maryland Pride.’

"It makes me wish I was still at Maryland when I see these uniforms," said Smith. "It is really special to be a part of this great University. As for the uniforms, when you look good and you feel good then you play good,"

In addition, Maryland will also become the only college football team to wear the ArmourGrid jerseys (no grab technology).
