Turkey’s Bursa kidswear manufacturers are currently on a visit to the ongoing Russian international textile fair TEXTILLEGPROM 2013, in the capital city of Moscow.

A delegation of 14 businessmen from the Children’s Apparel Industry Association (BEKSIAD) is visiting the four-day textile fair in order to conduct bilateral meetings with Russian apparel manufacturers.

The trip has been organized by BEKSIAD in collaboration with the Russian-Turkish Businessmen Union (RTIB).

BEKSIAD president Halil Atalay said Bursa’s kidswear manufacturing firms have been participating at major international textile fairs in the world and this visit would give more exposure to manufacturers.

Some of the members from the delegation would also be exhibiting their products at the Moscow fair and the entrepreneurs would be meeting Russian kidswear manufacturers in order to exchange viewpoints regarding various new developments in the sector, he added.

Mr. Atalay said the main goal of the visit is to show wider participation of the Bursa kidswear industry at the fair and establish better contacts with Russian apparel manufacturers for trade purposes.

The ongoing TEXTILLEGPROM 2013, which would run till September 27, is a bi-annual international fair aimed at developing the Russian textile and garment market.

Exhibitors at the fair are displaying various textile and garment products including home textiles, kidswear, textile machinery, knitwear, protective clothing, children’s innerwear, fabrics, yarns, raw materials and fur clothing.
