Spanx updates two women's long time shapewear classics
Oct '13
Leave it to SPANX to improve upon perfection! The innovative problem/solution company has spent more than a decade boosting women’s confidence (and backsides), and now SPANX is giving two longtime favorites—Power Panties and Higher Power—a re-boot(y) of their own!

The team at SPANX wrapped their heads around what made these pairs of performance underwear the go-to for Gwyneth, the must-have for Madonna and the only thing Oprah wears, and added a boost: The New & Slimproved versions of the classic shapers promise fans high-tech innovations, along with the powerful shaping they’ve come to love over the last 10 years. Updated, thinner yarns mean less bulk, and four-way stretch offers all-around shaping and a custom-fit.

“At Spanx, we’re constantly asking ourselves, ‘how we can do it differently? How can we make that better?” says founder Sara Blakely. “We decided to apply that way of thinking to our own products. We launched Power Panties in 2002 and Higher Power in 2004, and we’ve learned so much about shaping since then. By updating two of our classics, we’re giving women new reasons to fall in love with their old favorites.”

About Spanx

The Spanx brand now houses more than 200 products ranging from slimming apparel and swimsuits, to bras, activewear and men's undershirts. To help women everywhere experience the power of shapewear, Sara launched ASSETS, a focused range of body-shapers and ASSETS Red Hot Label by SPANX, a luxe extension of ASSETS that offers a wider assortment of slimmers, bras and panties.
