ISPO Inspire exhibit area to expand ISPO MUNICH 2014

In response to great demand the ISPO Inspire exhibit area will be expanded at ISPO MUNICH 2014. The platform for social and sustainable engagement offers the sports industry the chance to find out more on companies and their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) projects.

The world of sports continues to get more involved in social responsibility and sustainability projects. Many companies, such as Arc’teryx, Billabong, Indiana, O'Neill, Patagonia, The North Face or Volcom volunteer their staff, distribute free products or support related projects.

Therefore, the exhibit space for ISPO Inspire, its second round to be launched at ISPO MUNICH 2014, will increase by 42%: from January 26 to 29, 2104 exhibit hall A1 will host Brands for Good and GreenroomVoice as the ambassadors for a more socially fair and greener future.

The joint exhibit will introduce CSR and sustainability projects in the sports industry. Kim Scholze, founder of Brands for Good, explains: “Our platform offers opportunities to find partners or sponsors. Our goal is to network with the press to present their activities to the public.”

The exhibiting brands’ involvement is multi-faceted: they support educational programs, for example, or aid projects with focus on health, education, and environmental protection combined with sports like skateboarding, windsurfing, surfing, skiing and snowboarding. Another showcase project illustrates how weatherproof ponchos for the homeless were made from production remnants.

This involvement also has a positive impact on revenues. An increasing number of consumers insist on conscientious use of resources as well as social fairness, and base their purchasing decisions on such factors, according to Kim Scholze.

Messe München International

Messe München International is one of the world´s leading trade show companies. It manages around 40 trade shows for capital and consumer goods, and key high tech industries in Munich alone.

Each year more than 30,000 exhibitors and around two million visitors take part in the events held at the Messe München exhibition center, the ICM – International Congress Center München, and in the MOC Veranstaltungscenter München. The leading international trade shows by Messe München International are all independently audited.
