A multitude of qualities has earned Andres Sarda its global reputation and explains why the Salon International de la Lingerie has named the brand the 'Paris Capitale de la Création 2014 Designer of the Year'.

Since 1962, Andres Sarda has been creating luxury lingerie and beachwear collections inspired by its cosmopolitan, avant-garde home city Barcelona. The brand's sophisticated lingerie is for demanding women who want luxury, quality and comfort as well as innovation, sensuality and intriguing colour palettes.

In the context of Spain's fragile economy, the glamour and originality of the collections is a shining star in the lingerie market. And the Spanish designer finds increasingly ingenuous solutions to win new markets while maintaining the label's creativity, quality and expertise.

Innovation, finesse, the constant introduction of new materials, creative risktaking and the talent to surprise are the key qualities of the Andres Sarda style. Perfectly conceived shapes, elegance, fine finishings and comfort are the manufacturing guidelines.

This international business with a family feeling is also influenced by Barcelona's cosmopolitan energy, multi-cultural spirit and lively Mediterranean public squares. Both manufacturing tradition and a deeply rooted artisanal excellence give the brand its powerful identity.

Since the 2008 acquisition by the Belgian Van De Velde Group, Andres Sarda has maintained its authentic value and creative impact. This successful integration while safeguarding independence during an economic crisis is to be admired.
