David Jones will celebrate an extra special Christmas with its Canberra customers this year, following the unveiling of its newly refurbished Canberra Centre store on Saturday, 16th November 2013.

Following seven months of extensive refurbishment, the new David Jones Canberra Centre store will offer customers more than 750 brands across 3 floors specialising in Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear, Footwear & Accessories, Beauty, Homewares and Food.

David Jones’ newly refurbished Canberra Centre store will not only offer the best Australian and international brands as well as some exciting new services such as a Personal Shopping Suite that compliments its existing array of premium services including a David Jones Gift Registry, Style Advisors, customised bra fittings by fashion professionals as well as three luxurious beauty rooms for personalised beauty therapy.

The refurbished store incorporates all of the features of the Company’s “Next Generation Store” concept including such contemporary features as digital charging stations, complimentary customer Wi-Fi and customer dwelling areas.

The newly refurbished store has reduced back of store space and increased sell space resulting in key categories such as Beauty, Women’s Accessories and Women’s Shoes doubling in space and Womenswear and Menswear growing by more than 40%. This means more space to stock more brands that customers love.

David Jones CEO & Managing Director Mr Paul Zahra said, “We are proud to be delivering a rejuvenated, world-class store to our valued Canberra customers. This is an important market to David Jones and it was important that we take the time and invest the funds necessary to ensure that our fully refurbished store delivers customers an extraordinary shopping experience and cements David Jones’ position in this market as the first destination for style.”

The newly refurbished David Jones Canberra Centre store will continue to bring the most extensive range of brands to the Canberra CBD and ensure it remains your one-stop shopping destination.
