Future Group, one of India’s leading retailers, is aiming to earn Rs. 70 billion in revenue from the fashion vertical during the next financial year 2014-15.

The fashion vertical would be a Rs. 70 billion plus business, much bigger than any other verticals of the Future Group, the company’s founder Kishore Biyani said, Deccan Herald reported quoting PTI.

Mr. Biyani said the ‘Fashion at Big Bazaar’ would grow to Rs. 30 billion, while ‘Future Lifestyle Fashion’ would contribute Rs. 40 billion to the company’s earnings during the next fiscal year.

The Future Group would increase its focus on the fashion vertical and add 1.5 million sq ft retial space next year, he added.

Meanwhile, ‘Fashion at Big Bazaar’ has named Indian cricketer Shikar Dhawan, who is currently in a very good form, as its brand ambassador.

‘Future Lifestyle Fashion’ has recently divested its minority stakes in two companies—Biba and Anita Dongre-owned AND—amounting to Rs. 4.5 billion and the company is now looking at acquiring stakes in new firms, including womenswear and menswear companies, Mr. Biyani informed.

'Future Lifestyle Fashion' focuses on the fashion businesses with over 24 popular fashion brands and retail formats like Central, Brand Factory, Planet Sports, I m in and aLL.
