The Brazilian city of Gramado is all set to host the 18th edition of the country’s professional trade fair for the apparel industry, the National Fashion Industry Fair (FENIM) from January 21 to 24, 2014.

According to the FENIM Fairs website, the four-day fair organized by Expovest Brazil is held thrice a year with the autumn-winter edition in January and the spring-summer editions in May and June, 2014, in the Brazilian cities of Sao Paolo and Fortaleza, respectively.

The fair is organized with the aim of bringing together apparel firms to showcase their latest collections and get the opportunity to exchange information with entrepreneurs from different countries operating in the clothing sector, as well as establish business contacts with them.

Julio Viana, director of Expovest, said the 2014 edition would once again bring together important manufacturing industries from the country operating in all segments of the apparel sector, including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, as well as woven apparel.

In addition to these sectors, this year’s edition would also feature a special space dedicated to lingerie, along with jeanswear, knitwear, and more, he added.

Ten Peruvian apparel firms would also be participating at the four-day trade show with the aim of promoting Peruvian clothing sector, especially products such as woven apparel, knitwear as well as cottonwear and other blends.

The FENIM fairs are considered to be the biggest trade show of the apparel and fashion sector of Brazil with more than 1,800 brands showcasing their clothing collections during the event.
