New Look Retail Group sales up 6% in H1 FY'14

New Look Retail Group Limited presented its unaudited half year update on the performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the 26 weeks ending 28th September 2013.

In the first half of the fiscal year, Group Sales (ex VAT) rose 6.0% to £753.2m against £710.5m in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Like Group like-for-like sales was up by a marginal 1.9%. New Look UK sales (ex VAT) increased 5.0% to £579.4m against £551.6m in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

New Look UK like-for-like sales went up by 2.6%. New Look e-commerce sales shot up by +78.8% against 52.9%.  

Group adjusted EBITDA was up 19.3% to £103.7m against £86.9m. Underlying operating profit surged 53.5% to £70.9m against £46.2m.

Profit before tax stood at £13.8m against a loss of £13.6m in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
