A new garment manufacturing unit would come up in China’s Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, often abbreviated to Bayingol, in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, according to Chinese local media reports.

The new readymade garment production unit would be set up by Tong Textile Co. over an area of 101 acres with total investment of 150 million yuan in Yuli Industrial Park.

The construction area would be 25,000 sq metres. The trial production is expected to start in October 2014, but the complete construction is likely to be completed by October 2015.

Once completely operational, the new unit would have capacity to produce 8 million apparel pieces per annum, which would generate annual revenue of about 350 million yuan.

The factory would generate employment opportunities for more than 600 people. It is also expected to earn over US$ 15 million in foreign exchange.

The garment factory would greatly enhance the industrial level of the Yuli country and effectively accelerate the process of new industrialization, as the country already has cotton processing, spinning, weaving and other enterprises.
