V-Mart, one of leading apparel retail store of India, is all set to seize a bigger market share this year, with 24 new outlets across nation. The retail chain aims to double the earnings by reaching nearly Rs250 crore in 2008-09, in comparison to Rs101 crore, it fetched last fiscal.
Recently, Abhishek Jetia, Vice-President, V-Mart Retail, disclosed that, the total capital required for expansion is approximately Rs50 crore.
This time, the firm wants to penetrate into tier ll and lll cities, like Ambala, Moradabad, and Moga, as these samll towns are expected to have huge market potential. The company also aims to attain pan India presence this year.
The retail giant plans to open 'V-Galz', a showroom that will have latest and mosh stylish garments as well as trendy accessories for women. There will be around 100 stores nation wide on franchise basis.
Experts believe that, although the retail trend is at nascent stage in the country, it is slowly making its way and big garment manufacturing units are putting all the efforts to grab this lucrative opportunity and make profits out of it.
