Icebreaker of New Zealand is proving it's possible to be 'green' and sexy at the same time!

The lightweight garments in Icebreaker's BEAST and Nature range of sustainably-produced, biodegradable men's and women's underwear make ideal eco-friendly holiday presents.

“Like everything produced by Icebreaker, the garments made from pure merino wool sourced from the Southern Alps of New Zealand are ultra-soft, breathable and non-itchy,” said Icebreaker Marketing Manager Deb Boswell. “Merino is a durable, and annually-renewable, natural performance fiber, which can be thrown in the wash and hung to dry. BEAST and Nature underwear offer sustainable luxury – a 'better' feeling than cotton.”

BEAST: this premium line of sleek, luxurious, performance-oriented merino underwear gives guys a chance to reconnect with their inner Beast. Garments include briefs, boxers and t-shirts (crew and V-neck). They're high performance, ecologically sound and sexy as hell.

Nature: Icebreaker's eco-friendly women's underwear means holiday shoppers no longer have to choose between sustainability and sexiness. Nature comes in two weights:

Ultralite: Made from the finest, softest, most luxurious merino in the world, NATURE Ultralite is unbelievably gentle on your skin. This beautiful range of pure merino underwear features stunning nature-inspired prints. Garments include camis, bikinis, hipsters and more.

Lite: With extra merino fibres for added warmth, super-soft NATURE Lite garments can be worn solo or as underwear. Garments include leggings, tops and camis.

Every woman should have a pair of merino socks. The ultimate stocking stuffer is available online at www.icebreaker.com.

Launched in 1994, Icebreaker was the first company in the world to develop a merino wool layering system for the outdoors. It was also the first outdoor apparel company in the world to source merino direct from growers, a system it began in 1997. There are now 10 distinct pure merino fabrics in the Icebreaker system, covering underwear, mid layer, and outerwear.

Icebreaker is sold in nearly 2000 stores in 24 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia and North America. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Icebreaker uses only pure merino hand-picked from 120 high country stations in the country's Southern Alps to create edgy outdoor clothing that combines nature's work with human technology and design.
