Néve's new line concentrates on natural fiber elements

Fueled by the success of sales in fine retailers across North America, Néve Designs announced the launch of their Fall 2009 Collection. The 2009 line of women's and men's knitwear combines rich jewel tone color palates with patterns and designs collected from around the world. Designed with Néve's traditional focus on fit, quality and function and embodying an active and urban lifestyle.

The diversity of Néve's new line concentrates on natural fiber elements like ultra-fine Merino wool, Pimacotton and silk for a luxurious feel while adding technical microfibers like PrimaLoft to improve performance and comfort.

Néve introduces the Prague Collection to add a new international look to the 2009 line. Hand-knits, funky patterns and rich colors with trend setting new styles place the Prague Collection in fashion boutique windows. The company has also added dimension to their traditional floral and baroque or “Amsterdam and St. Petersburg” collections. Néve's ever popular cardigan is joined by wraps, shawl collars and boiled wool pieces.

Cotton/Merino wool blends and bold colors that coordinate with Descente/DNA's 2009 line make Néve's Telluride and Val d'Isere Collections stand out in the Ski and Nordic knitwear category. Athletic fit and classic patterns come in a variety of full-zip and zip-neck styles. These styles are lightweight, fine-gauge merino and now- cotton/merino which cater to Néve's retailers from coast to coast.

Néve's Sports Marketing Director Jennifer Tille comments on the expanded Prima Belle Collection. “Last year we tested the water with the new collection made of silk, merino® and lycra, and it was awesome how successful it was.” This year Néve will showcase a Vintage Prima Belle collection with original artwork based on nostalgic ski posters. “We are really hoping to create a buzz around several pieces that are designed with the upcoming Olympics in mind. We want our retailers to capitalize on that market, and these pieces are perfect,” says Tille. In response to retailer demand, Néve is introducing a 100% wool men's crew neck baselayer piece.

The 2009 Néve Men's Collection takes a noticeable step closer to timeless styling while keeping an eye towards cutting edge designs. The juxtaposition of classic lines and modern details was the philosophy behind this year's styles. Taking edgy designs and high-end, quality tailoring unseen in any other line adds a large element of fashion to Néve's previously “ski” oriented Men's Collection.

The fashion, ski and Nordic styles have new technical elements such as: PrimaLoft, fleece lining and mesh sleeves. Fine details like leather zipper-pulls and articulated arms with a range of styles and gauges make the Men's 2009 line one of this years most anticipated collections revealed at the trade shows.

Partnerships will continue to add momentum to Néve's Fall 2009 Collection including their continued partnership with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. In December 2008, Néve also announced it's partnership with the Breast Cancer Fund. Other organizations Néve supports include LUNA Mountain Bike Team and Healthlinks Foundation.
