Experts have warned the textile and garment industry to be more cautious, despite data released recently, pointing to the contrary and say it is still premature to say a revival phase has begun.
Foreign demand is the main draw of China's textile and garment industry and they aver that the overseas demand has not yet been fully restored and the warming up of markets is till a bit far off.
The recently concluded 105th Canton Fair realized an export turnover of US $26.23 billion, down 16.9 percent, of which textile and apparel trade reached $3.23 billion, down 11.7 percent and providing 12.3 percent share of the turnover.
Experts are quick to point out that, the decline in orders means that demand has yet to warm up, especially from the key and main markets of the Chinese textile and garment sector; Europe, America and Japan.
