Gunze Limited decides to change corporate structure

Gunze was founded in 1896 by Tsurukichi Hatano to promote the local silkworm industry. Hatano subscribed to the notion that each district should have its own policies just like the nation has its policies. Accordingly, he named his company Gunze Silk Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (presently Gunze Limited)."Gun-ze" means "the correct policy of the district." The company's continuation in business over the past 112 years would have been impossible without our consistent drive to transform ourselves and face new challenges while at the same time maintaining strict conformance with our "quality first"
