Incorporatewear, a major designer and supplier of careerwear, workwear and uniform solutions, has recently been appointed as managing agents of Premier Inn's corporatewear collection, by Whitbread Group PLC, the UK's largest hotel and restaurant business.
Charlotte Jay, Incorporatewear's New Business Development Manager, comments, “Premier Inn is the UK's largest budget-hotel chain and the contract will demand considerable commitment from our customer facing management team. However, we are well versed in supplying major blue-chip companies, and we welcome this new challenge and are extremely excited about servicing such a well-known and successful player in the leisure sector.”
Premier Inn is growing fast and already operates more than 500 hotels, or 40,000 rooms, in the UK alone and currently has between 5,000 and 6,000 corporate clothing wearers. A recent joint venture with Emirates also means expansion plans in the Middle East are taking off too.
The current collection is for reception and housekeeping staff and includes maternity wear, ladies blouses', men's shirts, unisex polos in standard and fitted design, fleeces, smart trousers and skirts, plus housekeeping trousers, jackets and knitwear.
In winning the business, Incorporatewear ably demonstrated the practical application of its rigorous ethical and social responsibility policies which dove-tailed nicely with Premier Inn's own corporate values.
“Premier Inn is delighted with the appointment of Incorporatewear,” remarks Alexandra Glenn, Whitbread's Group Procurement Manager. “We feel we're dealing with a company that can really live up to our own high standards of customer focus, loyalty and commitment.”
