In order to generate jobs for youth class and to reduce unemployment ratio, a garment factory at Suhum, abandoned for around four decades, will be resuscitated soon by the government.
This factory will also be utilised as a training centre, wherein employable skills such as welding, block-laying concreting and livestock production would be offered to the youth class in order to reduce their migration to cities for employment, revealed an official.
Also, negotiations are going on with another company in Tema to establish its firm at Suhum, which needs development along with its surrounding towns. The town can be developed by undertaking industrial and economic activities.
