Chris Finazzo to drive sales for Anchor Blue

Anchor Blue, the Corona, California-based clothing retailer with 112 stores in the western United States, is proud to announce the promotion of Chris Finazzo to Executive VP. He'll oversee the creation of a line of teen apparel and accessories that will drive the sales and profit for Anchor Blue out of the company's Corona headquarters. Reporting to Anchor Blue CEO Tom Sands, Finazzo is charged with Anchor Blue's merchandising, marketing, design and sourcing departments.

“Anchor Blue is driving to become a strong young adult brand and the primary destination for denim in the mall with the best assortments, prices and washes focused on a broad customer base,” says Finazzo.

Christopher L. Finazzo served in various roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Aeropostale for nearly a decade before joining Anchor Blue. His career started working up the ranks at R.H. Macy's & Co., Inc. to the Director of Girls Apparel and Accessories in New York City. Finazzo's experience creating some of the strongest retail brands will help drive the overall recognition of the Anchor Blue label and brand.

Under Finazzo's leadership we look to expand our product offering while we continue to offer a fresh, broad assortment of denim for young adults and teens,” says Sands. “Chris' experience developing assortments and product for national brands is proven. Combining his success with our team of accomplished designers, merchants and marketers with broad apparel expertise will help drive Anchor Blue to new heights.”

Finazzo's vision is for Anchor Blue to significantly improve its overall customer experience with a clear point of view in marketing, product and assortments that matches our customer's needs. Anchor Blue designs four lines a year with 10 floor sets.
